LILLIVIN FARM
est 2021
LilliVin Farm was established in November of 2021. The first major project was to completely remodeled a 60 x 60 barn that was built over 50 years ago. Rob and Carrie had a vision for their new stallion barn which included an office, laboratory and breeding stocks area with a separate collection area. It started by cleaning out the barn and carefully removing the stalls. The goal was to reuse as much of the rough saw lumber possible. Those boards were originally nailed in place by Carrie’s father, Carl Putnam. Next the barn sheeting had to be removed to be prepared for the barn lifters. The barn was raised 4 ft from its existing height. Before setting the barn back down; concrete footings were poured and the posts were replaced. Once the barn was set back down, we moved in 1000 yards of sand that came from the back of the property. Then leveled and compacted to raise the floor 2 feet to prevent any flooding. You could see it all coming together once the concrete was poured and the walls started going up. Time was not slowing down for us and we were all hands on deck! 2022 Breeding season was right around the corner. The inside white sheeting was put in place and quickly brighten the area. The stallion stalls were built tall with a double wall dividers to prevent fighting over and through the boards. Most of this project was completed by the start of 2022 breeding season. The finishing touches were done when time allowed us to finish them. We are thankful for all the family that help us on this huge barn project. We would love to show you the finished barn and our stallions! Please call 810-250-1952 to check out LilliVin Farm! Thank You - Carrie and Rob
